Dupes is a specialized utility for macOS designed to help DJs clean up their Serato DJ Pro libraries by identifying and removing duplicate tracks. It reads the Serato database directly, eliminating the need for exports or re-imports. The tool compares tracks based on up to 10 metadata parameters, including title, artist, BPM, bitrate, and file size, allowing for both strict and fuzzy matching. Users can automate the resolution process by selecting keeper tracks based on criteria like highest bitrate or most plays, and then archive or trash duplicates with a single click. Dupes ensures that Serato crate references are updated automatically to maintain library integrity. All processing is done locally on the user's Mac, ensuring privacy and security for music files.
